ICA - CCR European Research Conference Berlin 2019

Travel Information and Accomodation

Irrespective of whether you arrive by plane, train or your own car, Berlin is easily accessible. Within Berlin, there is a dense network of frequent public transportation, which is very reliable and save at any time.

Arrival by plane

Information on flight schedules, arrival and departure times of Tegel and Schönefeld airports is published at www.berlin-airport.de.

  • Tegel Airport (TXL) in the north-west of the city.
The transfer to the city center by public transportation is very easy and fast (only zone AB - 2,80 €). Bus runs every 5 to 10 minutes.
Distance to the city centre approx. 10 km.

  • Schönefeld Airport (SXF) - south of Berlin.
Distance to the city centre approx. 25 km. We recommend the AirportExpress Schönefeld (train lines RE7, RB14 and RB22), that runs every 30 minutes and takes 28 minutes from Friedrichstraße to Schönefeld airport. Local public transport tickets are accepted on these trains . The ride is within fare zone ABC and costs 3,40 €. Due to the risk of traffic jams, we don't recommend to enter the city by Taxi.

Arrival by train

Berlin is easily reached from all directions by rapid InterCityExpress, InterCity, EuroCity and InterRegio trains. For booking your tickets you can use www.bahn.de. Nearest stations are Berlin Hauptbahnhof or Friedrichstr.

Arrival by car

All motorways to and from Berlin lead onto the Berliner Ring motorway (A10). Comprehensive information on traveling to Berlin by car can be found on www.visitberlin.de.

How to reach the conference site
